Dog Pinch Collar Have Any Of You Used The Prong/pinch Collar To Get Your Dog To Walk With You?

Have any of you used the prong/pinch collar to get your dog to walk with you? - dog pinch collar

I have a 11 1 / 2 months old Lab / at the staff mix, and it is not very good on the leash! We have tried everything. Set neck, face and gentle leader to use Gentle Leader, say that the heel and pull us back, and only stop when ahead. We treat it if it works well and the right heel after she swallows it outside and try to draw again. I do not really use one, but I do not know what else to do. What is your experience been with the pinch collar?

With the pinch collar (with which we are in training all the time)

The dog is correct since, even to ... a drive train regularly choking on the neck of the dog .. if need there for .. Take the skin of the neck, without fear of damage to the neck or larynx.

I am a woman who trains German Shepherds, and if I am a big boy and he is walking ... goes into rigor - it will take some time ... (smiles)

I took a Black Lab, which is 8-11 months.
It has a little spirit. I'm off the chain and rope for 2 weeks. I found it very sweet and she thought of her. What I do is so that I bring around his neck when we started our journey and is full of energy, which is in the neck pinch, until he gets a little tired, then I go to his regular collar. If you are acting to return.
I now find that just the chain around his neck, and she knows how to behave. The people are totally against this ring and think it is cruel, but I think they are not drowned, as when one strips with regular collar and breathless.
I also found it necessary to take the assignment and run to the Power Out. LOL I'm walking the award and play with other dogs dates for you down the street. Laboratories, learn quickly, but I have with them is too harsh, what I said and I discover that the orders are working in harmony.

NO !!!!!! Take the dog to training, if you do not know how the train! It will be cheaper than the vet bills to repair the damage caused by the neck!

Join an obedience class. No equipment will help you train your dog, no matter what you try. Loose leash walking is not a dog behavior remotely, so it has time to teach, and the sooner you start, the sooner you can start that goes away.

I have never a pinch collar. I use a "choke" neck. I hate the name, but it works very well, and not drown need when they retire quickly.

I use the chain necklace with my three dogs, it works very well with two of them, the third only is drawing anything. We try to follow him in other ways, and it learns slowly.

The best thing to do is give him a chance, try perhaps, obedience class or two, so you know, work out the best way to win. But whatever you decide to go with what you learn better when they are consistent.

Our first dog we have training, since he was a puppy, and she is the best-educated, do not use the neck with her at first, but when we think of the other two, seems a bit forgotten, so that we thought it better, all in the same way exercise. Now she is once again an angel.

Pinch collars can cause substantial damage to a dog. Sometimes, the introduction of the needle through the skin, sometimes only to internal damage that you can not see their esophogas, wind, pipe, etc.

On foot or with a belt, because they encourage dogs to pull.

Join a local obedience class and a good quality collar chain slippage. Ask the teacher for the correct way to put the chain and how to use them effectively. Properly used, they will not harm the dog, not stifle not the dog, and pass the sound of the neck by the attention of his own dog.

Beyond that, as careful in conversation with the dog, his attention on you. When they start to take the lead, immediately turn into a new direction. Do not let the dog go in front of you at any time. If you can not change direction, and then pull the dog's head is still with his leg. It seems that everything we do withdraw, then praise it, and pull back then, then praise the dog, etc. However, to learn if they will make progress by facilitating cooperationrect, and you stay when you are praised. It is time and patience, but it's worth it.

I use in my laboratory. He who fights with me and is very excited to meet people on foot, leaving me with very sore arms.

In cases where a dog pulls a choke collar recommend these courses, they will do less damage to the throat and cause the dog is not like a regular can choke or take over.

Do you have a coach to help you adjust the collar for your dog, proper training is a necessity. There will also be able to advice on how to use it. Do not use these collars as a choke collar.

With my dog, I work slowly to help him now, when I know that emotions the upper hand over him and he'll forget I'm on the other end of the belt.

Prevent cast by teaching a dog to walk very good puppy time is always better, but with the tools available to teach you this afternoon is a much better chance than ever to go, the dog. If I my lab, when he was still a puppy that question had not won, was for us, he has taught from the beginning. But he came to me when I was about 2 yearsold and do not know what he was abandoned.

Properly used, it is a great tool. It is the instrument of torture seems to be the first time that I see.

I dont 'have a problem with a pinched neck or advice, if properly used. However, this is just another form of assistance, like the others. The problem is that the first dog was not given sufficient reasons to run properly and the dog has been trained not to yield to pressure. By using a pinch collar is only to hide the problem, not solve.
I suggest you go back to the essentials. The fact is that only a reward system only works for dogs. If the dog is another, slightly higher premiums elsewhere, is reduced, the value of treatment. I recommend that once a training system that is not all positive - there are consequences for not coming, but using rewards to reinforce the behavior. Also, remember that although dogs can be temporary for the food, the biggest reason that dogs obey because they want to secure their place in the pack (that satisfaction is leadership important regardless) of the work of food. This leads me to believe that you are not the leader and is working to restore the connection and make sure that the dog is work, and please, not for himself.
Finally, make sure you take time to make way for the dog to teach printing. This means that you say the dog needs to express, is evil, liberation, if it is good and praise. Too many people skip this part and it is of fundamental importance.

No, I never had to use that. All my dogs are also on-site training for 14 weeks. Now I have 3 large dogs that can take me anywhere where I know conduct is.

Pinch collars are great! My dog pulls me to my feet w / o. does not hurt, unless they prefer, but they do it themselves. if not do not throw wring. Moreover, in contrast to choke collars, puts pressure around the neck, rather than stifle.
