I do not think Hassan Osama Nasr refers to the period before the Second World War and the events and ideals. The two world wars were a move in European competition for the military and economic dominance, while religious Muslims, Hassan Osama Nasr was kidnapped because he promotes the religious domination through the use of terror. They have little in common.
